Erik is primarily responsible for overseeing the development of customized web solutions. Whether it's managing an e-commerce development project or delivering a web content management system, Erik jumps into each project with gusto. He's not just some code weaving dork either. Erik spends a good deal of time coaching his clients and coworkers on current web technologies and the options available to best suit their business needs.

Prior to joining the Risdall Team, Erik was Manager of Web & Applications Development at Macy's/Marshall Field's headquarters for five years.
Erik successfully managed a web project for MicroBond, a start up company, and their new product, Coretrate. He designed the site plan & architecture, executed SEO strategies and provided end-to-end business support throughout the process for the client. Erik spent quite a bit of time taking large amounts of scientific testing data and boiling it down to meaningful terms and easy-to-grasp concepts that all visitors to the site can understand. As a result of his work, the client receives multiple business prospects a week through the website.
Winthrop & Weinstine is a major Twin Cities law firm that wanted to make their website more resourceful in order to promote their firm. Erik created biography pages for the firm's attorneys and employees that lets visitors connect via LinkedIn, download contact information (vCards) and view the biography as a PDF. The PDF is generated on the fly and the contents can be changed using a simple content editor. This allows the firm the flexibility to create custom attorney biographies for any situation.
At Macy's, Erik created the main intranet site (from scratch) for his company - in about two weeks. Erik trained dozens of fellow HQ employees to be webmasters and content authors. When Erik left a year and a half later, the site had over 600 pages, 25 custom built web applications, over a hundred contributing content owners and averaged 60,000 homepage hits a week.
